Bonjour!
There are five levels of French offered at Mason High School: French 1 through 5. French 1 is also offered in the 8th grade at the middle school and is exactly the same course as that taught at the high school. Eighth grade students taking French 1 at the middle school earn one credit towards high school graduation.
French 3, 4 and 5 are all taught in the same class and the curriculum rotates every three years so that students will have the opportunity to study new and challenging material.
Each trimester, French students have a writing and speaking project. Normally, the writing project and the speaking project are the same. The speaking project could be a dialogue, a skit, or an oral presentation with some sort of visual display.
